I’m a SharePoint/.NET developer living in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Over the last 11 years I’ve worked for companies such as Siemens Nixdorf (Munich) and Fujitsu (Belfast). My main focus at the minute is on SharePoint Development but I like to keep an eye on new technologies. I love anything that saves me time and hassle! Currently working towards getting my remaining SharePoint and WSS MCTS exams.

In July 2007 I sold everything. House, car, PC, DVD’s, even my old clothes. I left my job after 3 years and decided to gallivant around the world. The time was right and I never took a gap year like most people do. On the flight to America, I got friendly with a lady and her husband and stayed with them in Virginia  for a week, subsequently buying their sons 13 year old Honda Accord that had 300k miles on the clock.

I used this car to drive 13′000 miles across America and back before travelling onwards to places such as Central America, Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, India and Nepal. I got back in September 2008 and started working with a local company, Kainos. I wrote a blog on my travels that totals 315 pages. Hope to do a book at some stage.
